Capitol Hill · Seattle, WA · 925 E Pike St (basement), Seattle, WA 98122
The intimate underground basement venue beneath sister club Neumos on Capitol Hill, opened in 2012 for up-close indie-electronic, downtempo, and house shows. Its small footprint puts the crowd right against the stage, and it runs its own state-of-the-art sound system (Midas M32-IP console with FOH processing) and lighting rig separate from Neumos upstairs.
Getting there
Parking
No dedicated lot; shares Neumos's difficult, metered/time-restricted Capitol Hill street parking.
Transit
Same access as Neumos: Metro routes 2, 10, 12, 49, and 60 within a 5-minute walk; light rail is roughly a 20-minute walk.
What ravers say
Reviewers describe Barboza as a great spot for up-close, personal shows with friendly staff and free water available, though a few report frustration with bouncers turning away guests they judged as intoxicated.
