Slow Magic is an anonymous producer who performs masked and bills himself as 'music by your imaginary friend', keeping his identity out of the project entirely. The music sits between chillwave, indie-electronic and soft future bass, and his sixth album Emotion Engine (2026) leans further out of dance music entirely, built around guitars and live instruments with A Beacon School, Artemis Orion, Elohim and The Chain Gang of 1975. Now based in Vermont, he plays Holocene in Portland on October 1, 2026 with Hotel Pools and Barboza in Seattle on October 2 with metsä and Yellowtael, both 21+ rooms that suit the scale of the show.
