RIOT is the Los Angeles duo of Tom Davidson and Daniel Magid, Israeli-American producers who started the project in 2015 and built it on a deliberate collision - big melodic, almost euphoric writing dropped into extremely heavy bass. That split is why they turn up on both dubstep and drum and bass bills rather than sitting in one lane. They have released through Monstercat, Dim Mak, NCS, Gud Vibrations, Welcome and Insomniac Records, with collaborations alongside Kayzo, Slander and Dirtyphonics; 'Wake Up' with Kayzo is the track most people know them by. Heads up on the name: there are several acts called RIOT, including a long-running American metal band and the separate producer Virtual Riot, so search results for this duo are unusually noisy.
Popularity
How this is measured
An absolute, national (US) measure — not a ranking against the other artists on this site. We take the strongest of three open signals: ListenBrainz listens, English Wikipedia pageviews, and the number of Wikipedia language editions that have an article. The strongest one wins, so a signal we couldn't read never drags the result down. Bucket 1 means measured and small. Unrated never means small — it means we don't have the numbers.

What listeners say SAMPLE DATA
No reachable source carries listener or show-goer opinion about RIOT, and they have no aggregated live-review presence. The coverage that exists is release and lineup news - Dance Music NW on a Gud Vibrations release, edm.com on the 'Arabian Knights' collaboration with Soltan, and 2026 lineup announcements including Beyond Wonderland at The Gorge and Forbidden Kingdom. That is booking traction, not reception.
