Pressha is Matt McGiveron, a Seattle DJ who has been a fixture of the West Coast bass scene for years — he came up mixing classic rock and hip hop, moved through breaks and drum & bass, and now plays across the whole spread of bass music rather than one lane. He is a resident of SUBstance Wednesdays, Seattle's long-running weekly, and has played Burning Man, Paradiso, Emissions and What The Festival, sharing bills with Skrillex, Andy C, Caspa, Eprom, Starkey and G Jones. If you go out in Seattle you will see his name a lot: he is on the Dimond Saints bill at Nectar Lounge on Sep 25 2026 and back at Nectar on Nov 13 2026 for The Polish Ambassador.
Popularity
We couldn't confidently match Pressha to an artist in MusicBrainz, so we won't put a number on them — a score taken from the wrong artist is worse than none.
How this is measured
An absolute, national (US) measure — not a ranking against the other artists on this site. We take the strongest of three open signals: ListenBrainz listens, English Wikipedia pageviews, and the number of Wikipedia language editions that have an article. The strongest one wins, so a signal we couldn't read never drags the result down. Bucket 1 means measured and small. Unrated never means small — it means we don't have the numbers.

What listeners say SAMPLE DATA
No listener or critic opinion was reachable for Pressha. He is a working local DJ rather than a press subject, so what exists online is event listings and promoter copy. Sample data — the repeat local bookings are the only real signal, and they are a booking fact, not a review.
