Madeon is Hugo Pierre Leclercq, a French producer, singer and DJ from Nantes now based in Los Angeles, who broke out at seventeen with the one-take Launchpad mashup 'Pop Culture' and has since built a career on maximalist, French-touch-descended electro house with real pop songwriting behind it. After a seven-year gap he released the album Victory in June 2026 on Mom + Pop, a deliberately risky record he has described in interviews as a rejection of playing it safe. His autumn 2026 run opens in the Pacific Northwest — Roseland Theater in Portland on September 24 and Seattle on September 25 — so PNW crowds get the first look at the new live show.
Popularity
How this is measured
An absolute, national (US) measure — not a ranking against the other artists on this site. We take the strongest of three open signals: ListenBrainz listens, English Wikipedia pageviews, and the number of Wikipedia language editions that have an article. The strongest one wins, so a signal we couldn't read never drags the result down. Bucket 1 means measured and small. Unrated never means small — it means we don't have the numbers.

What listeners say SAMPLE DATA
What exists is critical reaction to the album Victory rather than show-goer opinion, and it is split: Pitchfork scored it 6.8, calling it attention-grabbing but finding several choices simply corny, while Esquire Philippines conceded it 'isn't for everyone, especially for some of his loyal fans' before praising the vocal performance. That is two reviews, not a consensus, and the 2026 live show had not yet opened at the time of writing. Treat the figures below as sample data.
