Kruder & Dorfmeister are Peter Kruder and Richard Dorfmeister, a Viennese duo working together since 1993 and effectively the architects of the smoked-out, dub-heavy end of downtempo. Their remix work and the 1999 double album The K&D Sessions turned trip-hop, drum and bass and pop source material into something slow, bass-forward and unmistakably theirs, and 2026 marks thirty years since their DJ-Kicks mix. Their own site frames the current run as a DJ/AV performance rather than a nostalgia retrospective, and the PNW leg lands at McMenamins Crystal Ballroom in Portland on September 27 and Showbox SoDo in Seattle on September 28, 2026.
