Downtempo & ExperimentalIndie & Alt Electronic

Jane Remover is an American producer and songwriter from New Jersey who came up through the online digicore scene as dltzk before rebuilding the project under their own name. The catalogue moves violently between modes - the noisy, shoegaze-damaged Census Designated (2023), then the rave- and rage-leaning Revengeseekerz (2025) - and they also record as leroy and venturing. Live it is stripped to almost nothing: a DJ, a punishing light rig, and Jane screaming into an autotuned mic, which is enough to turn a room into one of the more feral pits in current electronic-adjacent music. For a PNW crowd this reads closer to a hardcore show than a club night.

Popularity

How this is measured

An absolute, national (US) measure — not a ranking against the other artists on this site. We take the strongest of three open signals: ListenBrainz listens, English Wikipedia pageviews, and the number of Wikipedia language editions that have an article. The strongest one wins, so a signal we couldn't read never drags the result down. Bucket 1 means measured and small. Unrated never means small — it means we don't have the numbers.

What listeners say

85/100

The two live reviews reachable here agree on the same thing: the crowd is the show. Both describe an audience that mosh-pits hard and sings brand-new album material back word for word, and both credit Jane with holding a room for an hour-plus on nothing but a DJ, a light rig and a raw, shrieking vocal. The reservation is the flip side of the same fact - one critic felt a 90-minute set stretched past what that spare a setup can carry. This is a small sample from tour stops outside the PNW, so treat it as directional.

Loved

+ audience energy repeatedly singled out - one critic called it the most genuinely raucous pit they had seen in 2026+ raw, emotionally exposed vocal delivery that carries the room+ devoted crowd that already knows brand-new material word for word+ minimal staging (one DJ plus a severe light rig) used to real effect rather than as a shortfall+ setlists make room for older fan favourites alongside the current album

Gripes

− very sparse production - no band, essentially a DJ and lights− one reviewer found a 90-minute set ran long for that minimal a setup− only two live reviews were reachable, both from stops outside the Pacific Northwest
