Bass

INZO is Michael Inzano, an American producer working at the melodic, psychedelic end of bass music - cinematic pads and sample-driven storytelling as often as chest-rattling drops. Overthinker, which threads an Alan Watts spoken-word passage through lush production, is the track that made his name and still tends to be the emotional payoff at the end of a set. He runs the Denver-based label Local Void, released the collaborative album NEXUM with Blookah, and headlined Red Rocks on his own name. One thing worth knowing before buying a ticket: he spent early 2026 on a 38-date Mirrorverse run and press coverage in January 2026 reported an upcoming touring hiatus, so his current shows may be the last for a while.

Popularity

Unrated

We couldn't confidently match INZO to an artist in MusicBrainz, so we won't put a number on them — a score taken from the wrong artist is worse than none.

How this is measured

An absolute, national (US) measure — not a ranking against the other artists on this site. We take the strongest of three open signals: ListenBrainz listens, English Wikipedia pageviews, and the number of Wikipedia language editions that have an article. The strongest one wins, so a signal we couldn't read never drags the result down. Bucket 1 means measured and small. Unrated never means small — it means we don't have the numbers.

What listeners say

88/100

Reviewers consistently describe an INZO set as a built arc rather than a run of drops - it opens slow and deliberate, moves through funk, hip-hop and trap detours, and lands on the Alan Watts / Overthinker closer, which several writers say reduced them or the people near them to tears. The other recurring note is that the live show is considerably harder and higher-energy than his recorded catalog suggests, so anyone showing up for the ambient side is getting something else. The honest caveat is that every review reachable here came from enthusiast dance-music outlets and none offered a substantive critical take, so treat the ceiling on this score as unverified rather than earned.

Loved

+ set built as an emotional arc, slow start into high-impact payoff+ stage and lighting design tightly synced to the music (mirrored panels, lasers matched to the wobble)+ genre-restless sets - EDM, hip-hop, funk, trap and psychedelic textures in one night+ Overthinker / Alan Watts closer lands as a genuine emotional release+ crowd stayed locked in through a cold, rain-soaked Red Rocks show

Gripes

− reviews found are near-uniformly glowing and come from enthusiast outlets, not critics - thin basis for the praise− live show is much heavier than the mellow, ambient side of his discography; expectations set by streaming can mismatch− one reviewer noted a delayed start cut the opening sets short (venue-side, not his performance)
