Heads up: this is a billing rather than a standalone act. 'Dead Polish Phish' is how the Nectar Lounge run is advertised, and it combines two separate side projects by The Polish Ambassador (David Sugalski, the Bay Area producer headlining both nights) - 'Dead Polish', which reworks the Grateful Dead catalogue, and 'Polish Phish', which does the same for Phish. Both take the source material into dance territory rather than jam-band territory, spanning disco, funk, drum and bass, deep house and dark trance while keeping the original lyrics; Polish Phish grew out of a Sugalski remix of 'Ghost' that pulled 300,000 views in a day, and he began programming the covers as separate shows so as not to crowd out his own productions. The 'Dead Polish, Vol. 1' album arrived in July 2025. The Seattle dates are the two Nectar Lounge nights on November 13 and 14.

Popularity

Unrated

We couldn't confidently match Dead Polish Phish to an artist in MusicBrainz, so we won't put a number on them — a score taken from the wrong artist is worse than none.

How this is measured

An absolute, national (US) measure — not a ranking against the other artists on this site. We take the strongest of three open signals: ListenBrainz listens, English Wikipedia pageviews, and the number of Wikipedia language editions that have an article. The strongest one wins, so a signal we couldn't read never drags the result down. Bucket 1 means measured and small. Unrated never means small — it means we don't have the numbers.

Listen

We haven't confirmed this artist's official profiles yet, so these open a search on each platform rather than guessing at an account.

What listeners say SAMPLE DATA

⚠ Placeholder — not real reviews. Sample data — these are generated placeholders, not real listener reviews. A sentiment aggregator will replace this section with sourced listener feedback.

Sample data - the project is too new and too niche for a real body of opinion, and what exists is press rather than audience voice. Westword reported that three consecutive Polish Phish nights at Denver's Ophelia's Electric Soapbox each sold out inside 48 hours and called the shows 'wildly unique', and Grateful Web covered a sold-out Ophelia's date in January 2026. That is demand, not consensus. Neither 'Dead Polish Phish' nor The Polish Ambassador has a LiveRate page.
