BassScene & Other

Craze is Arist Delgado, a Nicaraguan-born, Miami-based DJ and producer who is one of the most decorated turntablists alive - he won the DMC World DJ Championship three years running from 1998 to 2000, the first solo DJ to take the title three consecutive times. He is a scratch DJ first and a genre tourist second, moving between hip-hop, Miami bass, breaks, trap and drum and bass, and he co-founded Slow Roast Records with Kill The Noise after a stint as Kanye West's tour DJ. He still puts out routine videos rather than coasting on the trophies. For a PNW crowd the draw is technical: this is a hands-on battle DJ sharing the Substation and The Den bills with Dieselboy, so expect fast cutting and heavy drum and bass rather than a laptop set.

Popularity

Unrated

We couldn't confidently match Craze to an artist in MusicBrainz, so we won't put a number on them — a score taken from the wrong artist is worse than none.

How this is measured

An absolute, national (US) measure — not a ranking against the other artists on this site. We take the strongest of three open signals: ListenBrainz listens, English Wikipedia pageviews, and the number of Wikipedia language editions that have an article. The strongest one wins, so a signal we couldn't read never drags the result down. Bucket 1 means measured and small. Unrated never means small — it means we don't have the numbers.

What listeners say SAMPLE DATA

⚠ Placeholder — not real reviews. Sample data — these are generated placeholders, not real listener reviews. A sentiment aggregator will replace this section with sourced listener feedback.

No usable body of audience opinion was reachable for Craze. What exists is reputational rather than evaluative: interviews and gear-brand artist pages that recite the DMC titles and call him a turntablist legend, plus a 2024 SPIN feature on his 'Tablism' routine video. Those are press positioning and profile pieces, not reviews of a set someone actually attended, and no accessible source carries recurring attendee feedback or criticism. Treat this rating as placeholder sample data rather than a real reading.
