Audien is Nate Rathbun, a Connecticut-raised DJ and producer who has spent a decade at the melodic end of big-room dance music, moving between progressive house and trance across Anjunabeats, Astralwerks and Armada. His remix of Bastille's 'Pompeii' earned a 2015 Grammy nomination, and 'Insomnia' and 'Something Better' are the singles that put him on US dance radio. Since 2022 he has run his own concert brand, Progressive House Never Died - a recurring event series, not a tour - built around long, euphoric, melody-first sets, alongside Las Vegas residencies at Zouk and AYU Dayclub. If you want builds and breakdowns rather than drops, this is the booking.

Popularity

How this is measured

An absolute, national (US) measure — not a ranking against the other artists on this site. We take the strongest of three open signals: ListenBrainz listens, English Wikipedia pageviews, and the number of Wikipedia language editions that have an article. The strongest one wins, so a signal we couldn't read never drags the result down. Bucket 1 means measured and small. Unrated never means small — it means we don't have the numbers.

What listeners say SAMPLE DATA

⚠ Placeholder — not real reviews. Sample data — these are generated placeholders, not real listener reviews. A sentiment aggregator will replace this section with sourced listener feedback.

Sample data - only a handful of genuine opinion pieces were reachable, below the threshold for a real score. What they do say is consistent: reviewers describe seamless, momentum-holding mixing with no dead air, and attendees of his Progressive House Never Died events repeatedly reach for the same words - euphoric, emotional, a sense of belonging among fans who know the catalogue. The one recurring reservation is that the material is narrow: a reviewer covering a club set noted the limited musical variety could read as repetitive to anyone who is not already into the genre. Treat this as an impression, not a consensus.
